Fantastic Auditions @ Chapter Arts Centre – June 15th

The SJB Creative team were blown away by the incredible talent at the ‘Stalking John Barrowman’ auditions! Throughout the day we workshopped songs and sections of the script and we LOVED seeing our show brought to life by such incredible actors. In the individual auditions, each actor dazzled us with their monologues and singing voices, making it so hard to shortlist everyone who applied.

SJB auditions

We also received many auditions via email from those who could not make Saturday and have been overwhelmed with the support and passion everyone has expressed for this musical. We really appreciate it!

We are still in process of selecting our cast and will be notifying everyone next week with the results! Good luck everyone and thank you so much for sharing your talent with us – we were very, very impressed!

Important Information

We are looking for Musical Theatre Actors with professional training and/or previous musical theatre experience. We are hoping there will be some payment available to actors (based on a profit-share system) however I would advise you commit to the show based on your passion for new musical theatre writing and exposure rather than financial reward as this cannot be guaranteed. This production is perfect for musical theatre graduates and actors wanting to showcase their talent. We have already got a strong marketing team involved and hope this will be the biggest musical theatre event in the Welsh calendar for 2013!

Be part of something special

This show gives you the opportunity to workshop a brand new musical with it’s writers and a fantastic director. We are constantly developing the script, the music is evolving and we want you to be part of this process! The show has already received much interest from press, producers and of course, John Barrowman fans. Producers, directors and the Musical Theatre Elite will be invited from across UK to see the show and these four days in Chapter Arts Centre could turn into something MUCH BIGGER! We also hope to raise lots of money for Ty Hafan through the creation of this musical so we are able to give back to the local community.

In addition to musical theatre talent, we will be looking to select actors who are fun, easy to work with, committed, passionate, energetic and with whom we can enjoy this creative process with.

Harmony Singing

Within Stalking John Barrowman, our musical theatre actors will need strong harmony singing ability. You will be required to hold individual harmony lines in complex arrangements which at times can split into 10-part harmony. Previous choral and vocal ensemble experience is desired.
